Privacy policy

JASCA establishes the following privacy policy regarding the handling of user’s personal information in the service provided on this website (hereinafter referred to as “this service”).

Article 1 (Personal information)
“Personal information” means “personal information” in the Personal Information Protection Law. Information about a living individual is “name”, “date of birth”, “address”, “telephone number”, “contact information”, “other description, etc.” included in the information. Article 4 (change the purpose using)

JASCA will change the purpose of use of personal information only if it is reasonably recognized that the purpose of use is relevant to that before the change.
If the purpose of use is changed, the secretariat will notify the user of the changed purpose by the method prescribed by JASCA and publish it on this website.

Article 5 (Provide personal information to a third party)
JASCA will not provide personal information to a third party without the prior consent of the user except in the following cases. However, this does not apply when permitted by the Personal Information Protection Law and other laws and regulations.

  1. If it is necessary for a national agency or local public body or a person entrusted with it to cooperate in carrying out the affairs stipulated by law, it may hinder the performance of the affairs by obtaining the consent of the parties.
  2. It is when the following matters are noticed or announced in advance and JASCA notifies the Personal Information Protection Commission.
  3. It is the case where the purpose of use includes provision to a third party.
  4. It is a data item provided to a third party.
  5. It is a means or method of provision to a third party.
  6. It is to stop providing personal information to a third party at the request of the member themselves.
  7. It is a way to accept the requests of the members themselves.

Article 6 (Personal information disclosure)
JASCA will disclose personal information to the members themselves without delay when requested by the members themselves. However, if the disclosure falls under any of the following, it may not be disclosed in whole or in part. If it decides not to disclose it, it will notify you without delay.

  1. It is a case where there is a risk of harming the “life”, “body”, “property or other rights and interests” of the member or a third party.
  2. It is a case where there is a risk of significant hindrance to the proper implementation of JASCA’s activities.
  3. It is a case that violates other laws and regulations.

In principle, other than the provisions of the preceding paragraph, we will not disclose information other than personal information such as history information and characteristic information.

Article 7 (Correcting and deleting personal information)
If JASCA’s personal information is incorrect, the user can request JASCA to “correct” or “add or delete” (Hereafter referred to as “correction, etc.”) personal information according to the procedure specified by JASCA. If JASCA receives a request from the user and determines that it is necessary to comply with the request, it will correct the personal information without delay.
JASCA will notify the user without delay “when making corrections, etc. based on the provisions of the preceding paragraph” and “when deciding not to make corrections, etc.”

Article 8 (suspension of use of personal information, etc.)
When the member himself requests the suspension or deletion of the use of personal information due to “the reason that personal information is handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use” or “the reason that it was acquired by fraudulent means” (Hereafter referred to as “suspension of use, etc.”), JASCA it have to survey without delay.
If it is determined from the results of the investigation set forth in the preceding paragraph that it is necessary to respond to the request, the use of the personal information will be suspended without delay.
JASCA will notify the user without delay when “when the use is suspended” or “when it is decided not to suspend the use” according to the provisions of the preceding paragraph.
Other than the previous two items, it will select this alternative if necessary measures can be taken to protect the rights and interests of the user in “when there is a large amount of cost for suspension of use etc. or when it is difficult to suspend the use etc.” .

Article 9 (Privacy policy change)
The content of the privacy policy can be changed without notifying the user, except for laws and regulations and other matters otherwise specified in the privacy policy.
Except as otherwise determined by JASCA, the changed privacy policy will take effect from the time it is posted on this website.
